Friday's Fabulous Woman: Eva Zeisel

Beyond fabulous, Eva Zeisel is still creating magnificence at the age of 104!  Born in 1906 in Hungary, she is a renowned ceramicist and product designer.  In 1938, she moved to New York and in 1939 she created the department of ceramic arts industrial design at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, where she taught until 1952.  Over the years, she has designed products for a long, long list of companies.  Recent designs include wonderful rugs for The Rug Company -- the dimpled spindle rug in the background of the picture below immediately went on my 'dream wanted list'-- and I love the QnA with her on their site.
