Niki de Saint-Phalle, a Franco-American sculptor created one of my favorite places in Paris: the colorful, whimsical spouting sculptures in the Stravinsky Fountain next to the Pompidou Center. Her work is big and bold and never boring. I particularly love the work installed in parks and public spaces -- I love the contrast between the sculpture and its surroundings.
Portrait from here, Fountain taken by my sister in the rain earlier this year!
