Happy Thanksgiving

So far, it's been a perfect day.  I started the morning with a hike in the hills under a cloudy sky, then I cobbled together a rough sample of a tote bag for next year which I liked.   And now I'm curled up on the sofa watching the Thanksgiving Parade in NY on TV.  I hope your day is as enjoyable and relaxing!

Roadtrip To Idyllwild

On Friday I took a day trip to Idyllwild perched high in the mountains of the San Bernadino Forest.   I'd never been before and I loved it.  This friendly town hit a perfect trifecta for me:  good flea market finds, excellent food and stunning scenery.  It was a perfect blue sky day until we were headed down the mountain and found ourselves above the clouds, in the clouds and then below the clouds which was simultaneously eery and exciting.

A Journey In Color: Issue 2

Issue 2 of A Journey In Color, our online magazine is done!   These always seem to take so much longer than I think they will -- mostly thanks to technical glitches as a result of my lack of prowess in that area -- but I love doing it.   This issue includes inspiration from flowers and camels, a look at some of the chairs we redo as well as a behind the scenes look at the making of our wreaths.   And given the time of year, I included lots of holiday gift ideas.  Enjoy!
