Freshly Ground

Was thrilled to see the South African afro-pop group, Freshly Ground on stage with Shakira at the World Cup concert last week. Just ordered their new CD, Radio Africa -- I know, I know I should be downloading but I am still in the music dark ages! Looking forward to playing it in the store.

Crave LA Book Launch

Hot off the press and billed as "The most unique and stylish guidebook for city living and the ultimate guide to the places women CRAVE, including more than 125 women you need to know", the CRAVE Los Angeles book launch is on Tuesday June 15. Henry Road is included in the guide along with a whole heap of great LA boutiques, spas, bakeries, interior designers and more.

Everyone is invited to the party in Santa Monica starting at 6.30pm. More info here. From Wednesday, copies of the guide will be available for purchase in our Studio City store.

Sylvia Marius

Spotted this beautiful creation by Sylvia Marius in the corner of a page in the May issue of Elle Decoration France (top pic). Sylvia is a textile artist and self-proclaimed collector of fragments of life. Love the following words on her site: “There is the first sight… Casting itself onto various objects.
