I fell in love with the purples and blues on this delicious plate of figs on PurpleFoodie.  It probably helps that I have a weakness for figs and the idea of them stuffed with goats cheese is swoon-worthy!  These colors are so easily reinterpreted into lovely rich living spaces.

Sunshine in LA

We've had temperatures in the 100s this week in LA.   A tad warmer than usual this time of year even for LA.  But with it came stunning blue skies.   Took these pics the other day: palm trees and lights at LAX, a taco stand -- the quintessential perfect LA lunch spot, and leafy trees that draw me in and encourage me to daydream.  Wishing you a great weekend!

Venice Lovely

Black Beauty

There is something about the density of the black in this painting by Claude Como that is simply beautiful. The style of the figure is feels like a nod to paintings of bygone years.
