Introduced a Henry Road line of candles today! Four lovely scents in square jars all wrapped up in Henry Road cotton sacks and tied up with string! Happy day!

Friday's Fabulous Woman: The Hat
I have no idea whether hats are 'men' or 'women' but they were fabulous today at the Royal Wedding! They were fantastical, extreme, ridiculous and wonderfully creative. I loved them all. How often do we see people actually wearing really interesting things? I am so happy that so many women grabbed this opportunity to have fun and be a little (okay sometimes a lot) out there.

Photo Shoot
We did a photo shoot yesterday for a project I am working on. Lots of work and lots of fun with great people! Here is a sneak peak of some of the photos. Leo was having none of it so I was tempting him with bacon. What dog doesn't love a whiff of good stuff? More will be available at the end of May!

Noureddine Amir
Fabulous Moroccan fashion designer on tonight's Top Model: Noureddine Amir. He creates such beautiful structure and texture with very sophisticated fabric manipulation. Images from here and here. And yes, Top Model is a guilty pleasure and right now all the shoots are in Marrakech which I am loving!

Union Jack Fever
Anyone that says that Americans are more into Friday's wedding than the Brits, hasn't seen what London looks like at the moment. My talented sister took these festive pictures today. It looks like they are ready to have one great big street party. What fun! And if anyone wants a piece of Union Jack magic for themselves, we still have some pillows in stock.
A Long Day
How my day started on the left and how it ended nine hours later on the right:) Our sale was fantastically successful over the weekend so in came the boxes of new goodies this morning. It always takes longer than I think to put the shop to rights and find a home for everything but I am pretty pleased with the result. A few tweaks over the next few days and some orders to fill in the gaps and we will be set for Mothers Day! I will take some more photos over the weekend.
Rich Color
These are a couple of pictures in the latest Elle Decor. They are from a fabulous feature produced by Anita Sarsidi. Contrasting colors and textures to create a stunning composite always has the wonderful benefit of making the individual items stronger and more interesting too.

Richard Serra Drawings
I would like to see this show. I love Richard Serra's big, bold steel sculptures. The Met in New York has an exhibition of his drawings including a study of how they relate to his sculptural work.
Whistling in The New Week
I thought this picture was a fitting start to a week that will overflowing with wedding mania.

Brie Williams
I came across the portfolio of photographer Brie Williams via Indian Summer this evening and was entranced! Photographers take so many pictures and I find it so interesting to see which examples of their work they choose to put in their portfolio. Brie's gallery of work is just delicious and perfect inspiration for a Sunday evening playing catch up!

Friday's Fabulous Woman: Mother Earth
My apologies for the limited number of posts and for how late I am getting going on Friday. At least it is still Friday in LA!
There is so much to celebrate in the natural world around us so I thought I would pay homage to Earth Day and end this week with some lovely images of the planet we live on. It's daily wonders are a source of intense pleasure and inspiration.

Seen and Liked
It's been one of those crazy weeks but I found time to relax and dig around for eye candy this evening. Liking these:
A fabulously welcoming sofa that it begs to be curled up on with a book--with fun whimsical art. Via Skona Hem,
And I am loving the personalized mirror below. It does all the work of bouncing light but is so much more interesting than your regular mirror on a mantel. Via housetohome
And because flowers are always a good thing -- some lovely poppies from creativemint

Milan
There have been some wonderful photos all over the web of Milan's Design Salon this week. Some of my favorites are these by KristinaKlarin. One day I would love to go myself -- another thing to add to that list...

Robin and Lucienne Day
There is an interesting commentary on the work of Robin and Lucienne Day here. The fabric design of Lucienne Day is obviously an inspiration to many contemporary designers. I find it fascinating how designs stand the test of time and with minor tweaks here and there, they are totally contemporary 60 years later. The image below is from the UK's Pallant House Gallery which has a show of their work on from now until the end of June. Wishing you a sunny yellow week!

Blue Sky Weekend!
Wishing a wonderful weekend reaching for the sky! I took this shot last week lying on the lawn in my front yard:)
Friday's Fabulous Woman: Trina Turk
On this fabulous hot sunny day in Los Angeles, I thought I would tip my hat to Trina Turk who embodies California Sunshine casual and chic in her fashion and home design. I love her celebration of bold color and pattern with a nod to the past. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Images come from Apartment Therapy and Trina Turk.

Art On The Street
I spent a chunk of yesterday in the car! Loved the color and pattern on the facade of this building on Wilshire and the street art commentary on Facebook addiction (or at least that is my interpretation of it)!

Hedge Row Studio Umbrellas
Aren't these outdoor umbrellas from Hedge Row Studios fabulous? I love the beautiful pattern all over them.

The Bears Are Back in Town
I unpacked a box of fabulous bears and dolls today. They are made by the lovely Heather with our remnants and vintage chenille. With the exception of the Union Jack bears, we did a happy mix of every color in the rainbow on them this time and I am thrilled with the result. So perfect!
