Reaching Out to A New Decade

If Saskia, the cat can do it so can we!  Wishing you all a Happy New Year and a new Decade full of stretches!

Borrowed / stole / copied / blatantly plagiarized the title of this post and most of its content from an email I received this morning from my Mother and Step-Father!

Pink and Blue

I found myself clicking through a section of Livingetc's gallery called "Colorful Living" this afternoon.   Here's a nice medley of pink and blue from their album.

Chair Cute-ness!

I have had great fun recently recovering a couple of little chairs!  Two completely different styles but I am thrilled with the results.

Lonny Magazine

With home magazines closing left, right and center, its great to see a new one appearing.  Former Domino editor, Michelle Adams and partner Patrick Cline have launched Lonny, an on-line only magazine.  My friend Vanessa deVargas' beautiful beach bungalow is featured in the latest issue along with some other homes and stores I am loving.  Lisa Fine's apartment in Paris is wonderful!

Football Meets Art

The Football World Cup is in South Africa in 2010 which is huge and very exciting.  17 well known and emerging international artists have been commissioned to do posters for the event with 2010 numbered limited edition prints now available for sale here.   Much to my delight and surprise, I am now the proud owner of a William Kentridge print thanks to my wonderful sister!  Below are the posters of William Kentridge, Isolde Krams, Kay Hassan and Yamaguchi Akira.

The Lovely Nathalie Lete

Watched a video of the wonderful Nathalie Lete painting live in a Tokyo store window this morning!  Love the sophisticated childlike whimsy! A book on her work by the creative Japanese publishers, Jeu de Paumes, is available in our shop.
